Your staff requires a vehicle to help them more effectively and efficiently manage an increasing patient load. A continuous review of static, unchanging vital sign data does not improve the efficiency of the process nor the quality of patient care. Action is required and taken based on the changing condition of the patient. This change is often exposed when patient vital signs are “trending” in a positive or negative direction or if “exceptions” occur that fall outside the expected measurement range.
BL Healthcare provides a solution that enables right-time alerts and messaging that can be triggered by trends and/or exceptions that are easily configured into the system. For example, if a vital sign such as blood pressure trends beyond a pre-defined range, the BL Healthcare solution can trigger a pre-configured alert to a care giver or physician, notifying them of the problem and enabling corrective action. The action could simply be in the form of a phone call to the patient or a series of automated actions such as triggering a wellness protocol that includes educational videos, dietary restrictions, etc.
