The Healthcare Access Navigator creates a gateway to a patient's health care providers on the patient's own television. With built-in 3G/4G LTE wireless, it requires only two simple connections--one to the power outlet and one to the television--and automatically connects to the network from almost anywhere. The interface, which is accessed using a simple Bluetooth® remote control with basic button functions, has a simple and easily understandable graphic interface that makes it easy for patients to use and does not require computer literacy.
The Navigator can be placed in any location with a television, such as a patient's home or a medical facility. While easy to use, it supports a wide range of interactive health care activities including the monitoring and reporting of vital sign results, interactive health status and symptom assessments; health care-related messaging and reminders; video-based health education and video conferencing.
The Navigator provides a dedicated means for private and secure interaction with a patient's health care providers using a television and a remote control, which are familiar to patients. Health care providers can also securely connect with the patient through the Navigator using any internet-connected device.
